BOOKING A RESERVATION
Please use our BOOKING REQUEST FORM to get your reservation started. Our services are paid-in-full before delivery of rental equipment. To secure booking, we require a 25% deposit on any services, and paid-in-full 30 days prior to event. We accept check, cash or credit cards.
We only service the Hampton Roads area, and in special arrangements for the barrel train up to 1.5 hours travel time from our warehouse (minimum of 3 hours reservation required). For areas at least 1 hour from our warehouse, a minimum reservation valuing $200 is required. Fees vary from $10 - $45 for travel. We do not do reservations outside of Hampton Roads for games & event rentals only.
Our services are available from March to December on a first-come first-served basis. We invoice and reserve based on the order in which we receive booking requests and receipt of payment. April, May and October are our busiest times of the year, so book your event early!
We offer a discount to qualifying non-profit organizations. Certain discounts are granted by request only and require official documentation to be approved. These include local organizations that are 501(c)(3). Discounts will only be given once per calendar year per organization.
MILITARY COMMAND & FAMILY
Any Military function, event or group is eligible for a discount. Active military members save up to 10% off standard rates. This offer is valid ONLY for active U.S. Military personnel. Valid military I.D. and papers are required at the time of contracting. Reserve units must have a command representative (Senior Enlisted or Officer) as the point of contact coordinating in order to qualify. Discounts will only be given once per calendar year per group or family.
$200 THE FIRST HOUR
$100 each hour after, and $50 per 30 minutes for the train rental. All carnival and field games are a flat daily rental rate. Fees for delivery are based on distance from our warehouse in Norfolk, VA and starts at $15 for the first 10 miles and $1.25 per mile after. We only service the Hampton Roads area and in special arrangements, up to 1.5 hours travel time (not to exceed 90 miles) from our central location with a minimum reservation of $400 in rental equipment.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can customers operate and drive the barrel train?
Luckily, no! For insurance reasons, we do not allow customers to operate the barrel train. That means you get your very own awesome train conductor who's got roller-coaster drivin' skills!
How many riders can the train hold?
Our train currently has 5 carts. Each cart can hold 1 rider, or 1 adult and 1 small lap child. For larger events, our riding cycle is 60 riders per hour. We DO NOT allow siblings to piggy back in one cart/seat.
Can the train be operated indoors?
No. Since our train is gas powered, it is only for outdoor use.
Do you provide service at city parks?
Yes, we can! Please check with your park to ensure that trackless trains are permitted. Most public parks in Hampton Roads require special permits and/or additional insurance to hold an event on their premises. The customer will assume the cost of any permits and additional insurance required by local and county ordinances.
What type of events does Barrels of Fun provide its services?
Barrels of Fun Amusements services are perfect for any family friendly event or functions, including birthdays, festivals, fairs, church programs, corporate functions, private family gatherings and various community events.
What areas do you provide service?
Currently, we only provide our rental services to the local Hampton Roads area which includes Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Hampton, Newport News, Suffolk and the South Peninsula areas. Other cities that are within 90 miles from our warehouse (such as North Carolina, Richmond, etc.) can rent the train for no less than 3 hours. Our promotional services (flyers, logos, business cards, etc.) are provided nation wide.
